Master Plan for Parks & Recreation

Update April 12, 2022: - In the spring and summer of 2021, there was a community survey, workshops, and pop-up engagement to find out residents’ perspectives and needs. Those have now been combined with analysis into a draft master plan. Click here to see engagement results and DRAFT Parks & Recreation Master Plan

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The City of Revelstoke (City) is updating our Parks and Recreation Master Plan (PR Master Plan). This Master Plan will guide planning and decision-making related to parks, recreation, and facilities to 2030, replacing the Parks, Recreation, and Culture Master Plan of 2011. The PR Master Plan will identify and address needs in the community for new and improved parks, trails, and recreation facilities and services. Involving the community will help the plan reflect the community’s vision and meet local interests and needs.

HOW CAN THE COMMUNITY HELP?

The City is eager to hear from residents and visitors as your perspective will be considered in the PR Master Plan.

Input from everyone is important as a diversity of voices throughout the City will result in the best possible solutions.

Now that the draft recommendations are available, we hope to hear from the community again:

Do the recommendation reflect your interests and needs?

What are your priorities?

As the City will need to phase the recommendations in over time, we will consider your priorities in preparing the phasing and timing of implementation.

Please complete a survey by May 4th, 2022 and sign up to attend an open house on April 25th or 28th.

We appreciate the engagement with the community from our recent initiatives. Stay tuned!
