Sewer Gravity Main & Lateral Rehabilitation & Renewal
OVERVIEW
The Wright Street Alley Sanitary Upgrade is part of the City of Revelstoke's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve critical sanitary infrastructure. The project will replace aging underground infrastructure within the alley corridor and reconnect affected sanitary services as part of the upgrade. These upgrades will improve the reliability of the sewer system and support continued service to the surrounding neighbourhood.
WRIGHT STREET ALLEY SANITARY UPGRADE
The City has retained McElhanney to provide engineering and construction support services for the project. The project includes replacing approximately 95 metres of sanitary sewer and 15 metres of storm sewer infrastructure, along with sanitary service reconnections and restoration of the alley surface. Construction will be completed by Jake-Jay Construction.
CONSTRUCTION LOCATION
The project is located within the Wright Street alley corridor and includes sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure serving adjacent properties.

CONSTRUCTION IMPACTS
Residents can expect construction activity within the alley during the project. Temporary access restrictions, localized traffic disruptions, construction equipment, and increased noise levels may occur throughout the construction period. Access to properties will be maintained whenever possible, and affected residents will be notified in advance of any planned service interruptions or access restrictions. Please use caution when travelling near the construction area and follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.
TIMELINE
Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with construction anticipated to take approximately four weeks to complete.
