OVERVIEW

A water main replacement and new water main construction are planned to replace an old galvanized water main that has experienced multiple breaks in recent years. The existing water main in Big Eddy Road will be upgraded and a new water main will be installed on Boruch Road, to ensure all existing users are provided with new, more reliable water services.

Following completion of the project, the existing water main will be decommissioned in the fall. Residents directly impacted by this work have already been contacted.

CONSTRUCTION LOCATION

CONSTRUCTION IMPACT

There will be water service shutdowns and interruptions during construction. Some residents may be required to be on a boil water advisory for short periods - notices will be issued to affected residents.

Notices will be delivered to impacted residents a minimum of 48 hours prior to planned shutdowns or road closures. Expect equipment noise and increased numbers of construction vehicles. Road closures and detours will be clearly marked with traffic cones, and traffic control persons when required. Please follow all detour routes, drive cautiously, and protect our cone zone workers.

TIMELINE

Construction is planned to take place on Big Eddy Road 13th & 14th May, and on Boruch Road on the 19th & 20th May.
