Paul Simon is the best thing that ever happened to Building & Development Services. His entire team to note and attitude of the department is a stark contrast to previous experiences before Pauls time with the Department. Paul is the best City employee we have ever had the pleasure in dealing with on multiple occasions, he is a problem solver and he listens to the community. Instead of putting up roadblocks and stop signs he looks for attainable resolutions. No matter what Application or Development question it is, it eventually finds its way to Pauls desk. We have witnessed Paul fill in for all positions of other staff members whether they are away on holiday or “put on leave” meanwhile fulfilling a massive workload of his own duties, we have witnessed him work day and night in efforts far beyond renumeration. If Paul isn't already the head of the department, we feel as though he is destined to be. We are so grateful we get to deal with Paul and can only hope he moves up in position with the City for his diplomatic approach, informative responses, wealth of knowledge, integrity, positive attitude, genuine people skills, and sincere kindness for everyone he deals with. He encourages community collaboration for the vision of future Development in Revelstoke. We recognize he does not have an easy job, he wears many hats and The City of Revelstoke is extremely lucky to have Paul on the team.

Tyler at the Arena needs to know how awesome he is. He's always been so great with the kids at the arena, but especially this year when parents haven't been around much. He's always got a kind word for them, happily cleans up and helps them out. He takes pride in his work at the arena and makes the atmosphere there welcoming and friendly. Our family appreciates him very much.
