The Council Remuneration Task force is seeking the public’s perspective on council remuneration.
The goal of the process is to recommend a fair remuneration package for mayor and council - fair for both the elected officials and the taxpayers. The remuneration package can consist of their base salary and any attached benefits and allowances.
We are looking for public input as to what type of remuneration package would both attract qualified candidates and reduce barriers to allow diverse community members to consider becoming candidates. We would ask that written submissions, (please include your name and address) be restricted to one page and forwarded to remuneration@revelstoke.ca or dropped off at Administration in City Hall c/o Council Remuneration Task Force not later than April 30, 2022.
